THE BOOK OF DANIEL | WEEK 6
Day 6
“As I looked, ‘thrones were set in place, and the Ancient of Days took his seat… The court was seated, and the books were opened.’” – Daniel 7:9–10
We don’t get to hear truth like this and stay neutral.
If God really sits on the throne…
if every kingdom rises and falls under His authority…
if our life is not random but directed…
then something in the way we live has to change.
Because this isn’t just about what we believe,
it’s about how we move.
Daniel didn’t just receive visions, he lived faithfully in the middle of them.
And here’s what’s striking:
After seeing the rise and fall of kingdoms… after seeing the throne room of heaven… after seeing the end of history unfold,
Daniel doesn’t walk away arrogant.
He walks away affected.
Shaken.
Burdened.
The vision didn’t inflate his ego, it changed his life.
And that’s the difference between information and transformation.
If truth doesn’t move us to action, it hasn’t truly reached our heart.
So now it comes down to this:
What are we going to do with what we now know?
Because living like God is on the throne requires more than agreement, it requires alignment.
It shows up in real, tangible ways.
It shows up in how we lead our home.
Not passively. Not occasionally. But intentionally.
We don’t wait for the perfect moment, we create moments where God’s Word is present, where prayer is normal, where faith is visible.
It shows up in our decisions.
We don’t just ask, “What do I want?”
We ask, “What honors God?”
Even when it costs us.
Even when it’s inconvenient.
Even when no one else sees.
It shows up in our response to pressure.
When life feels unstable, we don’t spiral, we anchor.
We don’t pretend everything is fine, but we also don’t let fear dictate our next move.
Because we know something deeper:
The same God who sits on the throne… is present in our situation.
So here’s the call today, do something real.
Not big. Not dramatic. Just real.
Have a spiritual conversation we’ve been avoiding
Recommit to time in God’s Word this week, and follow through
Apologize where pride has been holding us back
Step into obedience in an area we’ve been delaying
Lead our family, even if it feels awkward at first
Because spiritual growth doesn’t happen in intention, it happens in action.
And then, take time to reflect.
Slow down long enough to ask:
Where have I been living like things are out of control?
Where have I been reacting instead of trusting?
Where is God asking me to step up, not step back?
What would my life look like if I actually lived like His Kingdom is the only one that lasts?
Don’t rush those questions.
Because reflection turns moments into movement.
And here’s where everything lands:
Every kingdom Daniel saw, rose and fell.
Every power structure, temporary.
Every ruler, limited.
But the Kingdom of God?
It doesn’t rise… because it never began.
It doesn’t fall… because it never ends.
It stands.
Forever.
And we are not just observing that Kingdom,
we are invited to live under it, align with it, and represent it.
So don’t just admire the truth.
Live it.
Because at the end of the day, the question won’t be:
“Did you understand the vision?”
It will be:
“Did you live like it was true?”
